Analyst
Measures

Counts what can be counted, and weighs what holds. The Analyst pins claims to evidence and refuses to round up.

It asks What does the data actually say, and how confident can we honestly be?
Core · Qwen 14B
II.
Humanist
Witnesses

Reads what is felt and what matters. The Humanist keeps the human stakes in frame when the numbers try to flatten them.

It asks Who is affected, and what does this mean for the people living it?
Core · Gemma 9B
III.
Skeptic
Doubts

Hunts what is silenced and what hides. The Skeptic argues against the strongest emerging consensus, not against you, so easy agreement gets tested.

It asks Where are the other two quietly agreeing without checking each other?

The internet became a casino.
This is the library.

Algorithms reward what keeps you scrolling, not what helps you understand. ZOTHEOS is a calm, reliable alternative: a tool that helps people learn and solve problems without surveillance, manipulation, or paywalls shaping the outcome.

Keep knowledge accessible. Keep privacy intact. Keep the tool reliable even when the internet isn't.
Private by defaultNo accounts required. No data harvested as the price of help.
Built for real decisionsLearning, planning, and problem-solving without noise or manipulation.
Independent by designNo VC funding, no corporate agenda. Built by one veteran with a mission.
Ethical guardrailsStructural constraints, not just policy promises. The architecture enforces integrity.

Three minds. One grounded answer.

Like a medical conference, three specialists examine the question from different angles, then deliver one careful synthesis. Analyst checks the facts. Humanist reads the room. Skeptic asks what's missing.

Fusion architecture

Three local GGUF models, Analyst, Humanist, Skeptic, each examine your query from a different angle. Their perspectives are scored by core weights derived from query type, cross-probed against each other for weak claims, then synthesized into one answer with a parsed self-reported confidence tag for every response.

Local-first

Runs on your hardware via llama.cpp. No cloud dependency. Your conversations, vault, and persistent memory never leave your device.

Evidence vault

Local knowledge base with tiered sourcing. Cross-encoder reranking. Citations enforced as [Vault:Source] with strict-mode checking.

Anti-consensus Skeptic

The Skeptic argues against the strongest emerging consensus between the other two cores, not against the user. Catches the place where smart panelists agree without checking each other.

Calibration measured

Every response carries three confidence signals, heuristic (evidence-derived), model-stated (parsed from the synthesizer), and blended. The system is honest about how confident it has the right to be.

Help people remember better, not remember for them.

Most AI memory tools remember for you, they keep your context, you stay passive. ZOTHEOS does the opposite. Memory awareness activates only inside Projects. Inside one, ZOTHEOS stays focused on the facets you're exploring and quietly teaches you how to organize what you learn.

Feynman Explain it back as if to a 12-year-old. Gaps in your explanation are gaps in your understanding.
Facets at project creation Name the 3 to 5 angles you're exploring. ZOTHEOS keeps them in mind every time you ask a question inside the project.
Periodic recap One click, what's been covered, what's recurring, what's still open, what to explore next. Pulls across the entire project history.
Memory techniques Five built-in techniques, Feynman, spaced repetition, chunking, dual coding, method of loci. Suggested when the content type warrants it.
Outside projects, forgets cleanly No global memory creep. ZOTHEOS doesn't accumulate context about you across casual sessions, only in territories you explicitly commit to.

A different posture entirely.

Most assistants are products of an ad model, a surveillance model, or both. ZOTHEOS is a tool, built to one purpose.

Questions worth asking.

Does ZOTHEOS actually work offline?
Yes, completely. Inference runs locally via llama.cpp. Once the models are on disk, your machine can be air-gapped and ZOTHEOS still reasons across all three cores, queries the local vault, and synthesizes a fused answer.
Why three models instead of one larger one?
A single model averages over its own biases and presents the result as a single voice. Three cores with distinct roles, Analyst, Humanist, and Skeptic, reason independently. The synthesizer then attributes claims and surfaces disagreement, so you see the structure of the answer, not just its surface.
What hardware do I need?
A modern CPU with 16 GB RAM runs the smaller core profile usably. A discrete GPU with 12 GB or more VRAM unlocks the full Qwen 14B + Gemma 9B + Qwen 7B trio at conversational speed. Apple Silicon with 24 GB unified memory or better is also a strong target.
Is any of my data collected?
No accounts, no telemetry, no usage analytics. The only point of contact is the waitlist form, which collects an email solely for launch notifications. Same privacy posture as the product itself.
How is ZOTHEOS funded?
Independently. No venture capital, no investors, no advertising. Development is self-funded by the founder with optional supporter donations via PayPal, Stripe, or Gumroad. The architecture choice is the funding choice; the product cannot become a surveillance vehicle later because there is no investor pressure to make it one.
What is the "evidence vault"?
A local, tiered knowledge base the three cores can cite. Sources are reranked by a cross-encoder and citations are enforced in the response as [Vault:Source] tags. Strict mode rejects answers that cannot be grounded.

I built ZOTHEOS because I was tired of tools that treat attention as the product and truth as optional. The internet learned to keep us scrolling; I wanted something that helps people think instead.

So I gave it three minds that disagree on purpose, a memory that teaches rather than hoards, and a hard rule: it runs on your machine, and your data stays there. No investors to please, no ad model to feed. Just the work, done right.
